Guru Ghasidas University was established in the year 1983. To perpetuate the memory of "Satanami Sant Guru Ghasidas, who waged a relentless stuggle against social evil and injustice, the University has been named after him. The University is affiliating cum residential in nature. A big number of deucational institutions are affiliated to the University and it has more than twenty teaching departments. The University is located in a salubrious, even climate and beautiful sprawling campus spread over about 800 acres of land.
THE INSTITUTE
Management education at Guru Ghasidas University campus formally triggered off in the year 1988. Two diploma courses in the department of management were floated. Looking to the changing and increasing needs for professional education and training, University started a two-year full time MBA program in the academic year 1992-93. MBA Program is run by Lal Bahadur Shastri institute of Management Studies by Research under the Faculty of Management, Guru Ghasidas University. The Institute incessantly strives to prepare people to become a leader in the "new management environment"
